What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

From the process of constructing the product I learnt a lot of things like the camera work, for example, shot reverse shot, 180 degrades, and over shoulder shot plus close-ups. I have watched many films in my life but I didn’t think about these things when I watched them. Since I have been studying media, however, I have learnt how to make a film and use a digital program to cut films, set up the titles, set up the opening staff and set transitions between two clips. By using IMovie I also learnt how to change things in our film such as weather, the colour and the speed. And I discovered the IMovie can also do something with the sound and music: you can turn up/down the sounds of the background or the music which you want to put in your film, and you can make it start at any point you like in the film. For example, when filming, I came up with an idea which was that when our actor turned off the iPod in our film, the music we use in this film stops there. I think this is a very good idea because we can use the Imove to move and cut the music. This means I changed the music from diegeic to non-diegeic; also if you want the music to start at the middle of the film, you just pull it to the blank under the film so that the music will start when the film plays to the middle .
Other things I learnt about are the blog; I learnt how to put pictures and video on the blog. Also, I learnt how to use old technologies making the film and to use new technologies to improve it like the rain drop we did. We used a dropper to drop water from a high place then we shot that after we used Imovie to slow down the clips so we could see a single water drop. This is exactly what we wanted, and having learnt how to film it, we were able to put this in our movie. The most important things I learnt from the process of filming were team work and organization, because I think they are kind of technologies; I do not think a bad team can make a good film.
